F.O.L.E.S. stands for the Friends of Laurentian Elementary School, a registered charitable non-profit organization formed in 1999 and that has been in operation for over 15 years.
Each year, F.O.L.E.S. commits itself to raising at least $10,000 for L.E.S., and this money goes directly towards covering costs associated with field trips, hands-on activities, special art classes, up-to-date library books, computer software and safe playground equipment.
As a group, we decide together where the funds we raise can be of most assistance to improving the student experience at L.E.S., and we make sure to contribute to activities or equipment that benefit all students equally, regardless of socio-economic standing.
F.O.L.E.S. is entirely operated by volunteers who generously donate their time, energy, and hard work towards making our fundraising events a success. If you think you might be interested in giving us a helping hand, click here to learn on how you can get involved.
Many local businesses and community groups also provide much-needed financial support through donations, and you view the list of our generous sponsors here.
As a registered charity, F.O.L.E.S. provides income tax receipts for all donations on request, and we also offer formal recognition of company names or organizations within the school, in school newsletters, and on our website. We appreciate your support, and we want everyone to know about your generosity!
